“Abai Route: The Path of Unity and Heritage” — a cultural and educational initiative connecting young people with a great legacy

As part of the “Development of Volunteering in the Field of History and Culture” project of the Association of Legal Entities in the Form of “Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan,” the East Kazakhstan Regional Youth Public Association “Salauat” implemented the cultural and educational initiative “Abai Route: The Path of Unity and Heritage.”

As part of the project, educational seminars were organized for school and university students. During the meetings, young people learned about the life of Abai Kunanbaiuly, his creative legacy, the educational value of his “Words of Edification,” and his contribution to Kazakh spiritual culture.

The seminars focused particularly on the themes of education, science, work, morality, justice, and national unity reflected in the poet’s works. Participants discussed the relevance of Abai’s works to contemporary society, completed interactive tasks, and exchanged views.

The initiative aimed to increase young people’s interest in national values, foster civic engagement, and promote the preservation and popularization of historical and cultural heritage. Participants were also introduced to the importance of cultural volunteering in society.

Abai’s legacy is an eternal spiritual treasure that calls on generations to pursue knowledge, hard work, wisdom, and unity. Through meaningful projects like this, the invaluable heritage of the great thinker continues to inspire young people and is passed on to future generations.
