Environmental Safety — A Key Focus of the East Kazakhstan Regional Public Council

A meeting of the Environmental Committee of the East Kazakhstan Regional Public Council was held.

The meeting focused primarily on environmental and sanitary safety issues related to the management of medical waste. Representatives of the Department of Ecology, the East Kazakhstan Regional Health Department, and the sanitary and epidemiological service discussed the procedures for collecting, storing, transporting, and disposing of medical waste, as well as compliance with established requirements.

Participants also addressed the region’s adaptation to climate change, as well as the use, storage, and disposal of pesticides in agriculture.

Public Councils continue to actively participate in discussing issues of importance to the region and developing proposals aimed at improving public policy at the local level.
