Members of the Burabay District Public Council conducted monitoring of the activities of tourist companies located on Kenesary Street in Burabay village.

The purpose of the monitoring was to assess the quality of services provided to citizens and examine compliance with established requirements in the provision of tourism and excursion services.

During the monitoring, the accessibility of information for consumers, the equipment of workplaces, sanitary conditions, the availability of special clothing and identification badges for employees, as well as the procedures for accepting payments and issuing supporting documents were reviewed.

The monitoring found that the price lists in the tourist companies inspected were available in Kazakh and Russian. At ZHEMCHUZHINA SINEGORIYA LLP, information was also provided in English. It was found that employees of the “Mega Tour,” “Turist,” and “Voyage” tourist companies did not have special uniforms; however, all inspected companies had identification badges.

The sanitary condition of the workplaces was generally assessed as satisfactory. However, the sanitary condition of the areas adjacent to the “Eco Bus,” “Jeep Safari,” and “Burabay RedBus” tourist facilities was found to be below the required standard.

No violations of the procedure for issuing receipts and supporting documents when providing excursion services were identified.

Following the monitoring, recommendations were provided to the heads of the tourist companies on providing up-to-date information for consumers in Kazakh, Russian, and English, complying with sanitary requirements, providing employees with special clothing, and strengthening internal quality control of services.
