Accessibility of Social Infrastructure Discussed in Glubokoye District

As part of the «Enhancing the Capacity of Public Councils» project implemented by the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan, R. Adilbayeva, Chair of the Initiative Group on public oversight of the accessibility of facilities and services for persons with disabilities and other people with reduced mobility in Glubokoye District, met with mothers of large families and mothers raising children with special needs.

The meeting focused on the accessibility of hospitals, schools, public service centres, shops and other social facilities, as well as the condition of ramps, barrier-free access to buildings and the availability of essential services.

The meeting was held in an open dialogue format. The participants shared their experiences, raised current concerns and put forward their suggestions. All issues raised were discussed during the meeting.
