Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan
The regular session of the “ҰSTANYM” Discussion Club

Today, another session of the “ҰSTANYM” Discussion Club, organized by the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan, took place.
The main topic of discussion was the draft Law on Non-Governmental Organizations.
The session brought together experts, NGO leaders, representatives of government bodies, analysts, and legal professionals.
The discussion focused on key provisions of the draft law, including the legal status of NGOs, principles of state support, accountability and transparency requirements, and mechanisms of interaction between the government and the third sector.
Participants expressed concerns about ensuring that the proposed law does not become a tool for imposing restrictions, but rather serves to support the further development and institutional strengthening of non-governmental organizations.
Concrete suggestions were made to clarify several key formulations in the text of the law.
The Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan emphasized the importance of open dialogue and reaffirmed its commitment to organizing future platforms to address pressing issues related to the development of civil society in the country.
