The Center for People’s Diplomacy of Kazakhstan took part in the International Forum “The SCO in the Era of Digital Diplomacy: Scientific Initiatives for Global Balance.”

The Center for People’s Diplomacy of Kazakhstan took part in the International Forum titled "The SCO in the Era of Digital Diplomacy: Scientific Initiatives for Global Balance", held in Astana.

The main goal of the forum was to develop Kazakhstan’s innovative proposals for the digital transformation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and to conduct meaningful sessions on the pressing challenges of digital cooperation.

Two key sessions were held within the framework of the forum:

• The first session, “Cybersecurity, Digital Sovereignty, and Strategic Resilience,” focused on protecting the digital space of SCO member states and the mechanisms for responding to transboundary threats. Participants emphasized the importance of a coordinated policy in the field of digital resilience.

• The second session, “Digital Diplomacy, Regional Integration, and a Multipolar World: The Role of the SCO,” brought together experts in international relations and digital communications. The discussions covered topics such as virtual platforms, humanitarian digital interaction, and the potential of new tools for strengthening regional integration.
