An online training program is launching to enhance the practical skills of volunteers

As part of the project "Development of Volunteering in the Field of History and Culture," implemented by order of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of the Unified Grant Operator, an online training program is being launched to enhance the practical skills of volunteers.

The goal of the program is to develop sustainable competencies among participants that are essential for systematic and responsible work in the field of volunteering. Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of volunteerism and ethical principles — a necessary foundation for work in the social and cultural sectors.

Subsequent modules will cover topics directly related to volunteer involvement in the research and preservation of cultural heritage, including:

• assistance in archaeological excavations,

• basics of restoration work,

• roles of volunteer guides, and

• methods for monitoring sites of historical and cultural significance.

We welcome current and aspiring volunteers, as well as anyone interested in the development and preservation of historical and cultural heritage, to join the program.
