Promotion of volunteerism in the sphere of history and culture

Project Description

The project aims to create favorable conditions for the development of volunteerism in preserving, promoting, and safeguarding the historical and cultural heritage of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It contributes to strengthening civic engagement, fostering a culture of volunteerism, and encouraging citizens, especially young people, to participate in socially significant initiatives focused on studying, preserving, and promoting the country's historical and cultural values.

Project Objective

The project aims to develop and support volunteer initiatives in the preservation of historical and cultural heritage, strengthen civic engagement, and encourage public participation in safeguarding national values.

The project provides for annual volunteer training, a competitive program awarding 10 small grants of KZT 1,000,000 each to support the best initiatives, public awareness and educational campaigns, as well as the preparation and publication of collections featuring successful volunteer practices.

Special attention will be given to Kazakhstan's participation in activities dedicated to the International Year for the Mobilization of Volunteers for Sustainable Development 2026. This will help expand international cooperation, strengthen partnerships, and enhance the role of the volunteer movement in preserving the country's historical and cultural heritage.
