Development of the Institute of Public Councils

Project Description

The purpose of the project:

To promote an increase in the level of citizen participation in the implementation of public policy by increasing the potential and effectiveness of the activities of members of public councils (hereinafter referred to as the OS) (at least 50% of the OS members).

Project objectives:

Task 1. To assess the training needs of OS members with further development of a training plan

Task 2. Train at least 50% of the OS members according to the developed plan

Task 3. To develop and launch a permanent platform for the interaction of members of public councils at all levels

Task 4. Initiate the institutionalization of the OS work experience by systematizing the positive practices of the OS at all levels and organizing the exchange of experience between the OS at all levels through the organization of training tours

Task 5. To ensure the popularization and promotion of the Internet portal www.kazkenes .kz using various promotion methods

Task 6. To increase the level of awareness of citizens about the activities of the OS through the use of various forms of work with the public, as well as through the activation of OS members in social networks

Task 7. Develop KPIs for the activities of OS members to determine the level of activity of each member's participation in the work of the OS

Task 8. To conduct an interim assessment of the effectiveness of the project

Task 9. To prepare at least 15 proposals / recommendations for further institutional strengthening of the OS based on an analysis of their practical activities and submit proposals / recommendations on the results of the project to the authorized state bodies, deputies of the new Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan to improve the activities of the OS

The achieved result from the implementation of the project:

1) Carrying out work on the organization of training events aimed at improving the competence and potential of members of public councils at all levels.

2) Popularization of the Internet portal www.kazkenes .kz and the use of its capabilities to increase the level of awareness of citizens about the activities of public councils.

3) Activation of members of public councils in social networks in terms of informing citizens about the specific activities of public councils.

4) Systematization of positive practices of public councils at all levels and exchange of experience between public councils at all levels through the organization of study tours.
